Line Cook
The Breakroom
Line cook, prep cook job in Shingle Springs, CA
*Wanted: Culinary Badass to Join Our Kitchen Squad! Are you the kind of person who can julienne a carrot in their sleep? Can you handle the heat of the line without breaking a sweat (okay, maybe just a little)?
If so, we want YOU to join our team!
Who We Are: We're not your average restaurant-we're a foodie haven where creativity, chaos, and camaraderie collide. Our kitchen is a place where the grill is always hot, the music is always loud, and the jokes are always questionable. We're a family of flavor fanatics who take our food seriously but never ourselves.
What We're Looking For: -A lineCook Legend who can rock the line like a boss.
Someone who treats their knife like a prized possession (and sharpens it religiously).
A multitasking maniac who can juggle tickets, timers, and taste tests without breaking a sweat.
A team player who can high-five with one hand and flip a burger with the other.
A food fanatic who geeks out over perfect plating and secretly names their favorite dishes.
What You'll Do:
Wield your spatula like a sword and conquer the line like the culinary hero you are.
Craft dishes so beautiful they belong in a museum (or at least on Instagram).
Keep the kitchen running smoother than a perfectly emulsified balsamic vinaigrette.
Laugh, learn, and occasionally dance to the beat of Toast
What You'll Get:
A paycheck that doesn't suck (because you deserve it).
Free meals that will make your taste buds do a happy dance.
A team that feels more like family (the cool, slightly dysfunctional kind).
The chance to flex your creativity and make food magic happen every day.
Perks:
Free Meal & End of Shift drink (if you're of age of course)
Employee sponsored dental and life insurance
Endless opportunities to taste-test new menu items (aka chef's privilege).
Bragging rights for being part of the most awesome kitchen crew in town.
Requirements:
1+ years of linecook experience (or a convincing argument about why you're a natural).
A passion for food that borders on obsession.
The ability to keep your cool when the tickets are flying and the grill is roaring.
A sense of humor (because we're all a little weird here).
Ready to Join the Fun? If you're ready to turn up the heat and join a team that's equal parts talented and quirky, send us your resume and a note telling us why you're the missing ingredient in our kitchen. Bonus points if you include your favorite dad joke or a haiku about bacon.
Apply now and let's make some delicious magic together!
We are a close-knit team of positive-minded people committed to the same values: great food, wine and beer, an appreciation for art and music, and a commitment to community. We hand-stretch our dough, forage for great produce, and boast a small but mighty wine and craft cocktail program. We consistently create heartfelt experiences with warmth, graciousness, and authenticity.
We are looking for talented cooks who are committed to creating the amazing artisanal pizzas that Pitfire is known for!
Our family of restaurants includes American Beauty Steakhouse, The Win~Dow, Superba Food + Bread, Superba Snacks + Coffee, and Pitfire PIzza.
Requirements
We Offer:
Competitive wages + TIPS (~$20- $23/ hour including tips)
Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) retirement plan for team members who are full time or full time equivalent (please inquire for more details)
Flexible schedules so you can pursue all of your outside interests
Work with a team that cares about seasonal menus and exceptional food quality and a creative bar program
A free meal with every shift - hope you love pizza!
A fun and inclusive work environment
Professional development and career advancement opportunities with a rapidly expanding restaurant group
Company Dining Program (Pitfire, Superba, American Beauty, & The Win~Dow)
Want a piece of this pie? We are looking for team members who:
1 -2 years of experience as a linecook in a scratch kitchen
Are dedicated to giving our guests great service
Commitment to recipe adherence, food safety, and quality control
Are able to work a flexible work schedule including nights and weekends
Can keep up with a fast-paced work environment
