Full-time Description
Job entails managing all administrative tasks of legal cases. These tasks generally include editing and preparing correspondence and legal documents, maintaining electronic files, arranging depositions, correspondence, and calendaring. Each paralegal has one attorney and reports to their attorney.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and format memoranda, correspondence, and other legal credentials. Independently draft standard routine pleadings, correspondence, and other documents.
Read and electronically profile e-mails,
File pleadings via legal messenger or electronically with courts.
Maintain superior public relations with business associates and clients.
Schedule appointments, meetings, depositions, and other meetings for an attorney.
Assist in scheduling of seminars, industry dinners or luncheons, and other functions as requested.
Work closely with other staff members in a team-familiarized manner.
Work closely with paralegals for maintaining case files.
Proofread legal documents as required.
LitigationParalegal will provide support to the Legal Team in a high volume, time sensitive atmosphere.
Provide service updates; client status updates; follow-up on outstanding documents and or services; coordinate with title contacts to complete outstanding tasks such as recordings; missing documents
Draft and generate pleadings such as Complaints; Motions; Notice of Hearings; Affidavits; Defaults; Notice of Actions; Notice of Publications
Assist with check down of closed; active and hold files including forwarding invoices of foreclosures fees and costs
Manage and organize production of documents; identify privileged documents
Generate reports and follow-up on identified outstanding tasks
Update client systems and internal systems, as needed
Will perform other duties and responsibilities as needed
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent; Secondary education or some college a plus
Minimum 3-5-year LitigationParalegal experience or general knowledge of Florida's mortgage litigation cases
Certified Paralegal a plus

SUMMARY
Under the direction of the General Counsel
provide legal and corporate support to In-House Attorneys in all litigation

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following.

OVERVIEW

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Research and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources using both traditional and digital research tools.
Drafts legal documents, including memoranda, pleadings, motions, affidavits, and discovery requests; prepares and files documents electronically according to judicial procedures.
Assists in reviewing, organizing, and maintaining case files, exhibits, and related documentation in digital and physical formats.
Utilizes case management systems and legal databases to track, retrieve, and process legal information.
Prepare correspondence, reports, and summaries of interviews or legal findings.
Maintains confidentiality and ensures compliance with court procedures and Clerk's policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Strong understanding of legal principles, procedures, and terminology.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required, bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or related field preferred.
Paralegal certificate from an accredited program preferred.
Two (2) years of experience providing paralegal, legal assistant, or court-related support in a law firm, government agency, or Clerk of Court setting.
Demonstrated experience with electronic filing systems, legal research databases, and digital document management.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and other modern office software.
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sitting for long periods of time.
Talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion.

OVERVIEW
Reports to and receives general direction from Managing Attorney, Staff Attorney or designee, the Paralegal Advocate provides paraprofessional legal services to eligible clients in civil and other cases, under the direct supervision of an attorney, in accordance with the program' mission and principles of advocacy, other program guidelines, the ABA Standards for Providers of Civil Legal Services and the Florida Rules of Professional Conduct.
RESPONSIBILITIES
