Job Description: Staff information desk when classes are in session, providing research, reference, and circulation assistance to students, employees, and community members to assist them in using the library and navigating information. Applies information skills and knowledge of reference interview processes to offer clear and friendly assistance to library users. Communicates with library colleagues and faculty as needed to ensure services meet the needs of the community. Helps to maintain library orderliness by shelf reading, re-shelving materials, neatening shelves, performing in-house check-ins, and tracking print cartridges and printer paper, when needed. Alerts library colleagues when needed about printer supply needs or missing library materials, and communicates with library colleagues with questions. Provides technology assistance to students who need help printing, using the scanner, or navigating the computers.
