This role supports a positive guest experience while meeting Verde Canyon Railroad's standards for safety, service, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Guest Service & Sales Assist guests with merchandise questions and promote purchases to support overall sales goals. Accurately process sales using the POS system, handle payments, and provide correct change. Pack and ship customer orders as requested and assist with related inquiries. Shop Operations & Merchandising Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. Restock shelves, organize displays, and assist with merchandise presentation to enhance the guest experience. Support inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels. Receive, unpack, inspect, price, ship and stock incoming merchandise. File invoices and purchase orders as directed by the Gift Shop Lead. Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations and team needs. Requirements: Qualifications & Requirements ? High school diploma or equivalent. ? Must be at least 18 years of age. ? One year of retail or customer service experience is preferred. ? Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check. ? Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. ? Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective guest and team interactions. ? Organized and detail-oriented with solid time management skills. ? Comfortable using a Point of Sale (POS) system and handling cash transactions accurately. ? Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required. ? Positive, professional, and team-oriented demeanor. Work Environment & Expectations ? Position may be full-time or part-time based on operational needs (generally 30+ hours per week or 80 hours per pay period). ?
