Completes annual nursing core competency training and skills fair
Takes accurate vital signs and assessments
Assist with exams, procedures, and documents in EMR per departmental policy
Prepares necessary equipment and instruments for examinations, treatments, and procedures as directed
Maintains inventory of supplies in exam/procedure rooms and entire clinic
Maintains cleanliness of exam room, procedure rooms, and clinic
Complete pt visit by answering questions and escorting pt to checkout if available
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Promote, Assess, and evaluate the educational needs and requirements specific to your job discipline
Trains and orients new clinical assistant staff on functions of job including nurse intakes, diabetic foot exams; POC testing, inventory and room stocking.
Assists Pulmonary nurses with 6 Minute Walk tests, Oxygen titration walks, and Spirometry.
A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an approved certified program for assistants in the area of required specialty. Certification by an approved accredited certifying agency in the specialty in which the particular work will be performed.
