Faculty Advisor - Mathematics

The Faculty Advisor for Mathematics is a key member of the Faculty Advisory Team within the Pearson North America Higher Education Customer Success Organization. + Partner with course-level administrators, providing discipline experience and digital product knowledge, to advise on the right integration of Pearson digital products and implementation that will best support teaching and learning goals.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between **$68,000 - $70,000.**

The purpose of the Admissions Visit Coordinator position is to provide recruitment support and leadership to on-site admissions and career counseling activities. Leads the morning meeting with census, budgeted numbers, etc.
Communicates admissions time, bed number, physician, etc. to the hospital when there is a confirmed admission.
Provides tours of hospital.
Provides customer service by accurately answering questions, for internal and external customers.
Manages LOA's in HMS/MedHost, ensuring accurate entries for all LOA patients. Completes forms as necessary for corrections.
Review and enter daily census via Select Portal by 11am EST. Ensure accuracy on a daily basis, as well as initiating any changes/updates that might be necessary.

POSITION SUMMARY
Ohio Christian University is seeking a full-time Admissions Counselor to join the Traditional Admissions team. Summary
Responsible for advising a cohort of medicine students enrolled in pre-matriculation degrees and those who have matriculated to the medical school class through the completion of their career as a student. The Career Advisor will play an essential role in the assessment of interests and skills related to career goals, guidance related to involvement in student organizations and research and assistance with preparation of their electronic residency application service (ERAS) applications and the residency interview process.
Principal Functional Responsibilities
Career Counseling and Advising: Develop career goals with a cohort of students starting at the time of matriculation through graduation. Counsel and advise individual students based on an assessment of career goals and aspirations. Addresses curricular, performance and scheduling concerns. Foster student involvement in student organizations and student research events related to the career and professional development. Provide advising services to medical students and attend medical student events that meet the scheduling needs of busy medical students, which includes evening and weekend hours on a routine basis.
Residency Application Support: Counsel and advise students on in preparation for their ERAS applications. This includes but is not limited to:
* Providing CV/resume MATCH content review
* Review personal statements
* Generate individual medical student performance evaluation (MSPE) report for specific student cohort
* Advise students on the residency interview process
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with academic partners, faculty, alumni and other constituents in developing activities and events that strengthen career preparation for medical students.

Vacation:
Professional/Technical employees receive 3 weeks of vacation each year which begins accruing on the employee's first pay period. After five years of employment with Edison State the Professional/Technical employee will receive 3.5 weeks each year, after ten years this increases to 4 weeks, after fifteen years the employee will receive 4.5 weeks of vacation and this once again increases to 5 weeks after twenty years of employment with the college.
Sick Leave:
Edison State employees receive 3 weeks of sick leave each year which begins accruing on the employees first pay period.
Holiday Pay:
At the start of their employment employees are eligible to receive pay for the 11 holidays for which the campus is closed.
Tuition Waiver:
Edison State employees receive 100% of their instructional fees waived for any Edison State courses they take.
