Job Description:
The Senior Specialist, Network Engineer (NE) performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and troubleshooting for total systems and or subsystems. The Sr. Specialist NE is part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communication platforms.
Essential Functions:
Assist in the design and development of physical and logical network architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains
Maintains networks (both LAN & WAN) connecting airborne and ground systems via terrestrial and BLOS (Beyond Line of Sight) circuits
Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements
Perform requirement traceability methods and purpose

Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or 4 years equivalent experience.
Intermediate knowledge and experience in network (LAN/WAN) design incorporating industry standard security best practices; NIST framework
Intermediate network engineering experience including IP addressing, switching and routing, VLANs, VPNs, video teleconferencing, VoIP telephony, and LANs/WANs
Intermediate experience in routing protocols including RIP, EGIRP, OSPF, and BGP

* Develop and lead Engineering projects designed to reduce waste, improve process capability, process reliability, increase OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), improve quality and manage capacity as required. Qualifications
