POSITION SUMMARY: Under close supervision, prepares and operates machines to process/produce a high quality product. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares machine for production by checking operating parameters and equipment for safety. Makes certain all materials for production are available. Loads parts into machines. Runs parts in machines by following prescribed procedures. Removes parts from machine after cycle is complete. Inspects parts. Trims and buffs parts. Repairs defective parts. Cleans molds and equipment. Assembles and disassembles molds for Laminated Builders Maintains a clean and safe work area. Follows safe work practices and instructions, and exercises stop work authority if needed. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Entry level position. Common knowledge of a manufacturing environment preferred. Forklift and hoist experience preferred. Understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English. Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Run machines while maintaining acceptable production and quality standards. Good problem solving skills. Basic mathematical skills (addition/subtraction, multiplication/division, conversion of weights and measures). Willingness to learn. Obtain and maintain forklift certification. POSITION SUMMARY: This position will be assisting in the safe, efficient, handling, installation and assembly of large, heavy steel components in support of the manufacturing process and testing functions assigned to Manufacturing Engineering in the Arlington, Texas facility. In addition, this position will require working and cross-training in several production departments as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Safely, responsibly, and efficiently assist in the assembly of large parts, tools, and equipment. Operate a variety of equipment including common manual/pneumatic hand tools, hydraulic torque wrenches, hydraulic tensioning devices, hydraulic presses, steam systems, overhead cranes, and forklift. Readily accept verbal and written instructions from supervisor and experienced co-workers assigned supervisory responsibilities. Assist with mechanical test programs and manufacturing procedures. Assist other departments as needed with production, machine operation, and molding tasks. Ensure safe working environment and clean work area. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
