Job Description:
Parsons is now hiring for a Transportation Practice Leader, to continue to facilitate growth in our Ohio portfolio by successfully delivering major highway projects in Ohio. This role is ideal for someone looking to use your business development savvy and operations management skills to implement strategies for business growth and performance!
The ideal location for this position is our Cincinnati, OH office, but HYBRID and REMOTE options may be available for the right candidate.
The key responsibilities for this role can be summarized in the following:
Project Management:
Manage scope, schedule, and budget of highway projects.
Develop scope and fee and negotiate new contracts.
Client management and change order management.
Identify staffing requirements.
Operations Responsibilities:
Work with other Project Managers, technical managers, and the Regional Manager to appropriately assign engineering staff for project delivery and pursuit success.
Collaborate with other managers within the Region to plan, implement, and execute regional goals, projects, and pursuits.
Identify and support the implementation of technology initiatives applicable to the advancement of the transportation practice.
Lead the transportation team in Cincinnati and grow headcount by recruiting and retaining top talent.
Technical Responsibilities:
Provide technical guidance and quality oversight for projects and pursuits.
Seek opportunities to make presentations and write articles to earn a reputation as an industry leader and promote Parsons as the gold standard in the industry.
Engage and serve in leadership positions within professional organizations to stay abreast of local industry news and raise the profile of Parsons.
Business Development Responsibilities:
Support BD efforts in the region, including target planning and teaming development in collaboration with the BD staff and under the direction of the Regional Manager.
Serve as a Capture Manager and Project Manager for key pursuits.
Attend regularly scheduled key client meetings and maintain current knowledge of project pipelines for key clients.
Participate in writing/editing proposals, pricing, and pricing reviews of proposals.
Lead proposal and proposal review efforts and communicate relevant client news with Operations and Business Development teams.
Required Qualifications:
4-year degree in Civil Engineering or related technical/business field.
15+ years of managing diverse infrastructure projects with a track record of successful project delivery on Ohio projects.
Demonstrable experience meeting operational business goals and strategizing on market development, including P&L ownership and the ability to meet or exceed sales, operating profit & margin, and DSO targets.
Ability to foster collaboration across multiple market sectors and business lines, including Rail, Aviation, Industrial, and Federal Solutions groups.
Experience leading and participating in business development activities.
Licensed Professional Engineer in Ohio, with considerable experience in the Ohio Market.

Applies standard design/detailing/drafting principles and theories to complete assignments
Utilizes technical manuals to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable state (ODOT) standards and codes (e.g. State level Bridge Design Manuals and Standard Drawings)
Ensures compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications
Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings
Reads and understands orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings
Makes required changes, additions, and/or revisions, as directed by immediate supervisor
What Qualifications You Bring:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required; 2 year degree/certificate is preferred
Prior relevant infrastructure and/or transportation design experience required (2+ years)

This hybrid role will be based in our Cincinnati, OH office
. The selected candidate will be part of a team of technical professionals whose primary emphasis is to support clients with their environmental regulatory compliance needs. The clients are a variety of sectors including industrial, high-tech, oil and gas, federal, state, and local municipalities.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of multi-media environmental compliance covering the subject matter areas of solid and hazardous waste storage and disposal, industrial wastewater, storm water, and chemical use and management.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Requires deep knowledge of multi-media environmental compliance regulations and best management practices at a local, state, and federal level (Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Clean Air Act, etc.).
Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Works under only general direction; independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
Conducts analysis and investigation work obtained from a variety of sources.
Performs compliance inspections and audits to assess and review compliance.
Participates in developing corrective measures, procedures, and recommendations for best management practices (BMP).

Your Opportunity
You are familiar with boundary survey principles and Record Maps, Surveys and ALTAs. You will ensure the preparation of accurate, complete and value-added survey work products to consistently meet clients' project goals. This position works on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.

As a geotechnical professional, you will provide comprehensive geotechnical services to Stantec clients with a focus on Project Leadership, Business Development, Staff Mentorship, and Collaboration with other Stantec Senior Leaders.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Scheduler to support a major water infrastructure program delivered through Progressive Design Build. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader in schedule management, capable of holding contractors accountable to their schedule obligations and driving timely project delivery. This role requires deep expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, Primavera P6, and a strong understanding of PDB dynamics.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze cost- and resource-loaded CPM schedules for complex water infrastructure projects.
- Lead schedule planning, forecasting, and critical path analysis across design and construction phases.
- Review contractor baseline schedules, progress updates, time impact analyses, and mitigation schedules for compliance and accuracy.
- Identify schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions; escalate issues when contractors fail to meet obligations.
- Conduct delay analysis and proactively flag risks related to schedule slippage or low productivity.
- Interface with project teams, design-build entities, and owner representatives to ensure alignment with program milestones.
- Support earned value analysis and contribute to monthly reporting with schedule narratives and trend analysis.
- Provide input on claims review and schedule-related dispute resolution.
- Ensure schedule integration with the program's master schedule and reporting systems.
- Manage and maintain the project baseline schedule, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones and program objectives.
- Review and evaluate contractor-proposed schedule changes, including time impact analyses, for validity and impact on the overall program schedule.
- Support performance management by tracking schedule adherence, identifying trends in contractor performance, and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with project controls and construction management teams to ensure schedule data supports earned value and performance reporting.
- Participate in schedule-related performance reviews and contribute to contractor evaluations based on schedule compliance and responsiveness.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Proven ability to enforce schedule compliance and hold contractors accountable.
- Strong working knowledge of Progressive Design Build delivery methods and their scheduling implications.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with earned value management, schedule risk analysis, and contractor coordination.
- Experience with field inspection protocols and constructability reviews.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in construction scheduling, preferably on large-scale water or utility infrastructure programs.
- Experience with transportation or utility projects is an asset.
Position will be in both an office setting and require field work. Field work may include exposure to inclement weather and active construction sites.

- Prepare construction plans, estimates, and other deliverables for transportation projects.
- Prepare project designs and deliverables in compliance with documented commitments, standards, and quality assurance practices.
