LifeGift is currently seeking an Abdominal Recovery Surgeon to recover organs in our Donation Service Area. The call schedule will be designed to provide coverage for all three (3) of the LifeGift regions and includes ample time off call to provide work/life balance and integration of academic pursuits. Compensation is commensurate with surgical experience and the benefits package is generous. LifeGift employs its own surgeons so that the gift of organs can be maximized with minimal surgical damage and the highest levels of teamwork and professionalism. Our surgeons work effectively in teams that include Organ Placement and Donation Recovery Specialists, Donor Clinical Teams and Perfusion specialists and our own surgical support teams. All LifeGift surgeons are required to travel to donor hospitals in the Houston metropolitan area, Ft. Worth and Lubbock/Amarillo to perform a surgical recovery. All travel is managed by the LifeGift Logistics Department. Requirements for the position: . Medical degree (MD/DO) preferred. Completion of general surgery residency or equivalent training.
