Job Summary:
Leads the implementation of asset protection and safety programs across a multi-district geography to mitigate risk and minimize loss. Oversees the execution of Asset Protection and Safety initiatives by analyzing trends and identifying patterns of theft and fraud. Ensures compliance with fire and safety regulations while proactively driving accident prevention and workplace safety culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages shrink performance across assigned locations, ensuring center store and perishable shrink remain within budget targets.
Drives product freshness and loss prevention by reducing inventory level outliers and investigating high-shrink locations to identify root causes.
Promotes a safe work environment by enhancing safety practices, reducing workers' compensation and general liability incidents through proactive risk mitigation.
Conducts asset protection and safety audits to ensure compliance to company standards.
Fosters a strong safety culture across locations, contributing to improved safety audit performance and overall compliance.
Ensures all asset protection systems and equipment are operational and effectively utilized.
Reinforces security measures, including alarm systems, door controls, and trash protocols, to deter dishonesty.
Optimizes DSD processes to minimize financial loss and enhance the return credit percent.
Monitors store department transfers to align with company standards.
Implements and oversees a cash shortage reduction program, addressing dishonesty promptly.
Leverages POS analytics to identify and address fraudulent activities.
Conducts random video reviews to detect and mitigate internal dishonesty.
Provides direct support to stores in managing and resolving external theft and fraud cases.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Intermediate knowledge of legal and civil regulations related to retail asset protection and safety.
Intermediate knowledge of retail asset protection and safety methods, procedures, equipment and systems.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Four years retail asset protection /loss prevention required.
Multi-unit experience in asset protection/loss prevention preferred.
Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification required (must be acquired within six months of hire; training program available for uncertified candidates).
OSHA 10 Hour General Industry training preferred.
Advanced level Interview and Interrogation training from Wicklander-Zulawski, or an equivalent training course preferred.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) certification required (must be acquired within six months of hire; training program available for uncertified candidates).
Industry related certification (CPP, CFI, LPC, etc.) preferred.

This position will be supervised by the Kilgore College Chief of Police and will work cooperatively with the KCPD patrol officers. Campus safety officers will be primarily stationed on the Kilgore or Longview campus, but may serve in other areas as needed. This is a full-time position providing day, evening, and night time safety services to staff and students primarily at the Kilgore College Campus.
Position responsibilities:
Ensuring a safe and secure classroom and residential environment for students
Patrolling buildings and grounds to check for potential security and safety hazards
Enforcing rules and regulations of KC
Reporting irregularities, emergencies and suspicious activities to the appropriate office
And other duties as assigned.
Minimum Position Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Possession of a valid driver's license, and eligibility to drive a college owned and/or leased motor vehicle are required.
Pass a thorough background investigation prior to employment.
Be able to operate a hand-held radio.
Possess a high energy level with innovative approaches to address student issues and challenges.
Possess excellent verbal communication skills; and have the ability to relate to an ethnically diverse college community.
Must be able to read and write fluently in the English language.
Must be available to work night shifts and adjust schedule to accommodate home sporting events and other campus activities, including occasional off-day assignments.
Demonstrates high integrity and professionalism.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Able to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.

What you'll do: You will directly supervise assigned sergeants and correctional officers. You'll be responsible for the custody and care of offenders; maintaining order and discipline among offenders; scheduling; training; and supervising staff in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) directives.
Essential functions:
* Serve as shift supervisor. Conduct daily shift briefings to provide updated information and issuance of chemical agents.
* Maintain daily shift roster to ensure required posts are filled, address staffing shortages and post vacancies.
* Supervise, protect, instruct, train, counsel and evaluate assigned employees and offenders; schedule employees' and offenders' work and off-duty time; assist in formulating security and work procedures.
* Supervise and direct searches for contraband and provide security.
* Supervise and provide custody and security of offenders including observation of offenders and offenders assigned to work duty, which includes long periods of sitting and standing.
* Perform specific security functions including "pat" and "strip" searches, by squatting and bending to perform such functions.
Education and experience requirements:
* Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
* Three (3) years full-time, wage-earning correctional custody or law enforcement experience to include one (1) year in the supervision of employees.
* Operational Review Sergeant or Security Threat Group Sergeant experience may be substituted for one (1) year of the required supervisory experience.
* Thirty (30) semester hours with a minimum of six (6) semester hours in Criminal Justice from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one (1) year of required non-supervisory experience.
* Valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
