Demonstrated depth in analytics and analytics storytelling (e.g., statistics, data analysis, data wrangling). Ability to present data in a variety of formats (pictorial, graphic, verbal) to communicate meaningful insights/recommendations effectively. Demonstrated technical competency in reporting technologies, specifically PowerBI. QUALIFICATIONS: Position is based out of Houston, TX, and will support projects in Texas and the Southwest Region. From time-to-time support to our other offices in NJ and AZ will be required. Travel may be required. Work in the office or onsite with field staff is required 5 days per week. This is not a flexible/work from home position because of the importance of interaction with the senior team members as well as field teams. Some field work will be required. Must be proficient with AutoCAD and be able to develop or modify civil drawings, mechanical drawings, PFDs and P&IDs and even electrical schematics with little guidance or supervision. The ability to actually ‘engineer' details and drawings and think the process through is a key factor in the ability to successfully work in this position, rather than an individual that just ‘draws.' Valid driver's license - required and in good standing. Willingness to be in the field and apply “hands on” learning experience from previous employment and ability to learn new skills. Must provide references verifying prior experience, as applicable. Candidate must have the desire to grow and develop into a great field engineer and project management candidate with our firm. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Position requires strong aptitude with AutoCAD in 2D and also ability to use 3D versions. Will work directly for Senior team members in TX as well as NJ and AZ when in the office to provide CAD/shop drawing/engineering drawing support on projects and estimating, Excellent writing skills are necessary for this position. Technical writing samples must be provided during the interview process for assessment. Other responsibilities include preparation of submittals, schedules, project bids, project estimates, daily logs, procurement, subcontractor management, support to project superintendents. Goal for this position is grow into a solid project managerial role that is both technically competent and understands the trials/tribulations of construction/field work. Travel is required within the US. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Required bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably civil or mechanical; an associates in mechanical design/CAD will be considered as well Entry level or up to 2-3 years of experience in civil or mechanical engineering or construction field will be considered. Candidate must be able to show proficiency using AutoCAD.
