The former CEO of QLogic, a leading provider of data, server and storage networking solutions, Mr. Desai serves as Chairman and Executive Chairman of QLogic’s Board of Directors. Mr. Desai was appointed President, Chief Technical Officer and interim CEO of QLogic in August 1995. In January 1996, he was appointed CEO, and in 1999 he became Chairman of the Board. In November 2010, he was appointed Executive Chairman. Mr. Desai has served on a number of boards of directors including Microsemi Corporation and Lantronix Inc., where he served as Chairman from May 2002 to November 2007. In addition to MaxLinear’s board, he also serves on the boards of Netlist Inc. and Applied Micro Circuits Corp. Mr. Desai holds a M.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University in India.
