In 1999, LIRS headquarters relocated from New York City to Baltimore, MD and the work of resettlement and advocacy for refugees has continued into the 21st century.
Nearly 20 years after our founding, JRS was officially registered as a foundation of the Vatican City State on 19 March 2000.
USCIS began overseeing refugee admissions to the United States when it began operations on March 1, 2003.
