    Seeking a qualified individual with advanced skills in the electrical and HVAC trades to perform maintenance, repair, and installation work on passenger rail car systems. This position will be primarily responsible for ensuring the proper operation and reliability of electrical and HVAC components, including troubleshooting and preventative maintenance activities.The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols. While previous experience in passenger car mechanical inspection or maintenance is not required, the individual will receive cross-training in basic mechanical systems to support overall car maintenance operations The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance and repairs to railcar electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The position will also be responsible to assist with design and installation of new or upgraded electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems for railcars. Additional training will be provided for the testing and maintenance of railcar pneumatic braking systems and other mechanical systems as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Work safely in a railroad environment, according to regulated practices. Perform routine inspections and repairs to high and low voltage electrical systems and generators.
