Davis Frost in Lynchburg is seeking a pump and equipment repair technician with the ability to maintain, clean, diagnose, and repair assorted equipment. $21.00 per hour Duties & Responsibilities Technicians will occasionally, as needed, be required to serve as a counter representative to sell parts and cash-out customers. Technicians will use a telephone to answer phone calls and notify customers when quotes or repairs are complete. Diagnostic work often requires investigation and the use of search engines to find answers and direction. Computer and internet literacy is important to research parts diagrams, prepare invoices, watch instructional videos, and communicate with customers and tech support resources. Loading, unloading, and moving equipment is job requirement. The ability to regularly lift 50-75 pounds is a requirement. Pump Tech will be expected to maintain a safe and clean working environment, which may include mopping the floor occasionally, changing exhaust filters in the spray booth, and emptying the trash. Must be able to stretch, bend, stoop and crouch and perform moderate to heavy physical labor while moving equipment and supplies. Subject to long periods of sitting and driving. Work environment may be stressful at times, as overall work activities and work levels fluctuate. May be exposed to unsanitary conditions in some home settings. May be exposed to hazardous materials, loud noise, extreme heat/cold, direct, or indirect contact with airborne, bloodborne, and/or other potentially infectious pathogen. May be exposed to high crime areas within the service community. Must be able to drive independently and travel as needed. May be exposed to angry or irate customers. Must be able to access the patient's residence without assistance. Mental alertness to perform the essential functions of position. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with customers with the ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, courtesy, and respect for privacy.
