Assist in conducting routine and periodic property inspections to identify safety and risk management concerns, keep the property in good condition and communicate concerns about the physical needs of the property to supervisor. LANDSCAPING DUTIES: Trim and edge all flowerbeds. Plant and upkeep seasonal flowers, trees, and shrubs. Weed and apply weed preventer. Rake lawns/leaves seasonally. Check and maintain all downspouts to buildings. Repair minor sprinkler system issues and adhere extra care to dry spots in lawn. Report larger sprinkler system issues promptly to supervisor. SNOW REMOVAL: Operate snow removal equipment to maintain snow/ice on all walkways, amenity areas, handicapped areas, behind parked cars and spread salt as needed. Snow Removal begins at 6:30am during the week and 7:30am on weekends. Make repairs on all snow equipment. Maintain snow log activity and keep good documentation of all snow removal attempts.     Description: Utilize a microscope to remove burrs (fragments or chunks of metal left over from being machined) with tools such as knives, scrapers, files, Dremel tools like ball cutters, reamers, and cratex. Blasting parts with aluminum oxide media (gritty/sandy powder) to either remove burrs or uniformly coat the part. Occasionally injecting molten zinc into a mold to fuse two parts together. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Verify machined parts meet blueprint specifications or tolerances according to work instructions. Operate speed lathes, blasters, dremels or other tools with moving parts, high pressures, or high speeds. Use knives, scrapers, or files to remove sharp edges or metal fragments. Also using abrasive media, buffing wheels, cratex or lapping paper to meet surface finishes. Use precision measuring tools like gauges, micrometers, calipers, comparators to verify parts are within tolerances per blueprints. Closely follow instructions including those on the traveler operation, deburr sheets and guidance from supervisor. Occasionally operate injection machine that uses molten zinc. Standing while operating a grit blaster to blast parts with media. Pressure test parts with oil, air, or nitrogen. Tumble parts in vibrating hones. Wash parts in mechanical washers. Use of mold release, rust preventatives, CitraSafe, denatured alcohol, or water with 4Usoap (anti-rusting agent) to protect or clean parts. Other duties as assigned.
