Qualifications:
Extensive electrical construction experience is mandatory - journeyman or master electrician education/license strongly preferred.
Ability to speak the trade fluently and understand the real-world hazards electricians face every day on datacenter, industrial, and commercial projects.
Proven track record as a Safety Director or senior safety leader with an electrical or specialty contractor (datacenter, mission-critical, or heavy commercial experience is a major plus).
OSHA 500 (Trainer) certification in Construction is required.
VPP (OSHA Voluntary Protection Program - Building and Construction) authorization strongly preferred.
Additional trusted credentials such as CHST, CSP, ASP, OHST, SMS, or a safety-related degree are highly valued.

Roles and Responsibilities
Develop SMS eLearning: Design, author, and maintain engaging eLearning modules covering SMS principles, hazard identification, risk assessment, safety reporting, safety assurance, and safety promotion aligned to aviation regulatory requirements and company standards.
Lead Training Programs: Build blended learning solutions (eLearning, virtual instructor-led training, microlearning, job aids) tailored for engineering, operations, services, MRO, supply chain, and functional teams.
Safety Promotion Campaigns: Plan and execute recurring safety promotion initiatives (newsletters, videos, toolbox talks, posters, internal social) to reinforce leading indicators, lessons learned, and just culture behaviors.
Content Governance: Establish and maintain a content lifecycle, version control, and refresh cadence; partner with SMEs to ensure technical accuracy, traceability to standards, and audit readiness.
Learning Analytics: Define success metrics, dashboards, and reporting for training effectiveness (Kirkpatrick levels, completion, knowledge retention, behavior change, leading/lagging safety metrics); translate insights into course improvements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Safety, Quality, operations leaders, functional training teams, and communications to align curricula to business risks and readiness needs.
Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean learning design principles to reduce waste in training delivery, simplify user experience, and accelerate time-to-competence.
Regulatory Alignment: Ensure SMS training aligns with applicable aviation regulations and standards (e.g., ICAO Annex 19, EASA Part-ORO, FAA 14 CFR Part 5) and supports internal audit and external oversight needs.
Incident-to-Learning: Convert events, findings, and safety observations into timely, targeted microlearning and refreshers; support safety stand-downs and readiness campaigns.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Aviation Safety, Human Factors OR Engineering
Minimum of 4 years of experience in SMS, aviation safety, OR safety-critical industries with a focus on training and promotion
Desired Qualifications:
Working knowledge of SMS components: Safety Policy, Safety Risk Management, Safety Assurance, Safety Promotion
Strong instructional design capability (ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles; portfolio of eLearning/microlearning deliverables
Proven ability to translate complex safety topics into clear, engaging training for technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills across functions and levels
Aviation/industrial safety background with exposure to engineering, manufacturing, MRO, or field service environments
Credentials such as CSP, CFIOSH, ASQ, or aviation safety certificates; human factors or HOP (Human and Organizational Performance) experience

FACILITIES/SAFETY COORDINATOR REPORTS TO: Human Resources Director
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: The Facilities/Safety Coordinator is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, safety, and operational functionality of all NKCAC facilities. This position ensures that NKCAC properties are safe, efficient, and well-maintained while operating in compliance with agency policies, local/state/federal regulations, and federal performance standards.
The Coordinator collaborates with agency leadership, program directors, and site managers to maintain clean, secure, and functional facilities that promote quality service delivery to children, families, clients, participants, and staff throughout NKCAC's service area.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversee day-to-day upkeep, janitorial contracts, and maintenance across all NKCAC facilities, including Head Start locations.
2. Supervise contracted janitorial staff and coordinate facility cleaning schedules.
3. Solicit bids from approved vendors and ensure compliance with NKCAC purchasing procedures.
4. Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for facility operations within budget guidelines.
5. Conduct weekly inspections of all facilities to assess maintenance and repair needs.

14. Monitor building security systems, alarms, and camera systems; address safety or security concerns promptly.
15. Ensure up-to-date inspections (fire, sprinklers, health, alarms, extinguishers, and building).

SAFETY:
