We have openings for Network Security Engineer for one of our client at Columbia SC Job Description Positions description: Incumbents will serve as Network Security Engineers for DTO/Network Services/Network Security. Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of network security devices in the Local Area, Wide Area and Metropolitan Area Networks. Will test new and modify network security configurations hardware and software. Will provide network security consulting services to other state agencies. Analyze data to provide solutions to complex problems and assist in resolving issues. Will fulfill work orders from the Service Desk. Maintains services, applications, and operating systems for network security devices and to ensure network security devices are maintained to a high level of security. Candidate must possess experience with Cisco's 5500-X Series (5525-x and 5585-x preferred) running in a multi-context environment and/or must possess experience with Juniper's SSL/VPN MAG 2600, 4510 or 6611 and or must have experience with Juniper's SRX240 running in cluster mode. Candidate must have proficient oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work on projects individually or part of a team. Must possess a valid Class-D Driver's license. Will be required to pass a SLED (SC State Law Enforcement Division) Criminal Background Check prior to employment. Candidate must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Candidate will be required to be on-call 24 hours a day on a rotating schedule for the length of the contract. Candidate must be able to be on-site, if needed, within 30 minutes of being contacted. Candidate must be able to climb or crawl into confined spaces and be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Some in-state travel may be required. These positions are located within the Division of Technology Operations (DTO).
