Our activities hosts are the ambassadors and operators of our games. This role is what sets Punch Bowl Social apart from other dining and entertainment concepts. Position Summary
Come help create BoujieMana, a brand-new restaurant located in central San Diego! Sitting amongst apartments and office buildings, we will serve both the public, and provide support to TCWGlobal by preparing meals (basic catering style) 3 times a week for 125+ employees. BoujieMana has it all-a full bar, VIP room, indoor and outdoor seating, and a training/event center with a capacity of 120 people. There is abundant nighttime and weekend parking, and while space is limited during office hours, there is still plenty of street parking. The price point will be on the higher end with the restaurant's commitment to utilizing quality ingredients and maintaining a curated menu for all three meals of the day.
We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic Bartender with excellent communication skills to prepare and serve high quality beverages for our guests. This individual's service will prove to be timely, accurate, and friendly. The bartender will greet guests, learn about their preferences, answer questions, and recommend menu items. They will ensure the utilization of proper equipment and ingredients, as well as handle basic stocking and cleaning duties. Key Responsibilities
Primary:

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant's standard drink recipes
Accept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make change if necessary
Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
Present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages
Take food and beverage orders from serving staff or directly from guests seated at the bar
Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks
Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar
Record drink orders into the register system accurately and immediately after having received
Balance cash receipts.
Recognize and learn the names of regular guests
Attempt to limit problems and liability related to guests' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading guests to stop drinking, or ordering taxis/other transportation for intoxicated guests
Clean and sterilize glasses, utensils, and other bar equipment
Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and additional related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws
Clean and reset bars, work areas, and tables
Slice and pit fruit and prepare other garnishes for drinks
Arrange, display, and maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas
Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the assistant manager
