HM183 Certified Diesel Mechanic Position Summary:
This position is required to safely and accurately perform general property and vehicle maintenance & repair duties in and around the shop operations in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and understanding basic preventative maintenance and repair techniques of Class 5 through Class 8 commercial vehicles to include tank trailer inspection and maintenance related to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations is required.
Essential Functions:
All fleet mechanic positions will be required to perform vehicle maintenance & repair duties safely and accurately in and around the shop operations in a fast-paced environment.
HM183 will learn and become proficient utilizing the company's maintenance software program to create and complete work orders and maintain work order/vehicle maintenance records.
Become qualified as necessary with appropriate certifications to perform new technology evaluations, diagnosis, and repairs.
Has been signing test forms as the Registered Inspector for at least 3 years.
Pay Range: 30.00-45.00 per_hour, General Benefits:

Job Summary
The position is responsible for installation and repair of telecommunications equipment and services located in customer premises, Central Office and Data Center Locations. Responsibilities
* Assemble, configure, and install electronic components supporting Ethernet, DWDM, CWDM, and ROADM technologies, following DLR and Method & Procedures documentation.
* Travel to remote customer sites and data centers to perform equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Conduct fiber testing using OTDR, power meter/light source, and insertion loss measurements to validate and certify optical network performance.
* Analyze OTDR traces to pinpoint fiber faults, splices, connectors, and reflectance anomalies.
* Connect AC or DC power to electronic components and verify backup power functionality
* Install and route fiber and copper cabling with attention to quality, cable management, and bend-radius compliance.
* Execute testing procedures to ensure equipment and services meet Lightpath standards and service-level requirements.
* Verify and update facility/circuit inventory systems, documenting as-built changes when installations differ from design.
* Maintain professional appearance by complying with Lightpath dress code and customer-facing standards.
* Manage truck stock inventories including tools, parts and supplies.
* Ensure all equipment assigned to a work order is installed or returned as per documented Logistics procedures.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime and on-call rotation as required.
Qualifications
* 10+ years' experience in Installation, provisioning and repairing telecommunication equipment.
* Thorough understanding of all phases of network installation, including Ethernet, DWDM, CWDM, Ethernet, WAN/LAN and TCP/IP applications.
* Hands-on experience with Ciena 6500 series, including provisioning, alarms, and optical power management.

Compensation & Benefits:

Taurus Industrial Group's Specialty Services division is seeking skilled and motivated Field ServicesTechnicians to join our growing team. We provide advanced industrial solutions across power generation, petrochemical, refining, and manufacturing sectors. Our technicians are trusted partners to our clients, delivering precision work in bolting, torquing, machining, induction heating, line-stop, and related specialty field services.

Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site bolting, torquing, tensioning, and induction heating services on critical equipment.
Support field machining, hot tapping, and line-stop operations as needed.
Install, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain specialized tools and OEM induction equipment.
Ensure all work adheres to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Interpret technical drawings, job packages, and client specifications.
Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and customer representatives to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient service delivery.
Maintain, calibrate, and prepare rental and company-owned specialty equipment.
Travel extensively to client facilities across regional and national assignments.
Recommended Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in industrial services, mechanical maintenance, or specialty field service roles (power plants, refineries, petrochemical, or heavy industry preferred).
Certifications/Training:
NCCER, OSHA, or equivalent field qualifications (preferred).
OEM training on induction heating or bolting/tensioning equipment (a plus).
Technical Skills:
Proficient in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic tool operation.
Familiarity with torque/tension charts, machining tolerances, and mechanical fit-up.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift to 50 lbs, work at heights, and endure confined space conditions.
Willingness to work extended shifts, nights, weekends, and travel on short notice.
Soft Skills:
Strong commitment to safety and quality.
Clear communication and problem-solving skills.
Team-oriented with the ability to adapt to dynamic field environments.
