As a Fiber Technician you will be responsible for performing basic to advanced installations, disconnects and service changes for residential and business customers for high-speed internet services, phone, and TV. You will provide basic troubleshooting and repair for services from the fiber terminal, or the ONT to consumer's electronic devices (TV, Modem, and Wireless devices etc.).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
You will install and troubleshoot all MetroNet services from the terminal to Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).
You will provide in-depth customer education on all MetroNet products and services.
You will earn commissions by explaining Metronet services and products to all customers.
You will be professional with customers and fellow associates.
You will work towards meeting key performance metrics.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED.
We Look for experience with a telecom / fiber company preferred but not required.
Physical ability to work from a kneeling or standing position for long periods.
Physical ability to work various in conditions, including working in attics, crawl spaces, and in adverse weather conditions.
Physical ability to climb ladders with proper equipment up to 25 feet (safety belt, safety strap, hard hat, and other equipment as needed).
Able to lift and carry loads of up to 75lbs including ladder.
Ability to work with basic hand tools and other specialized equipment with training.

Must maintain good troubleshooting skills and increase their break-fix knowledge to help the company maintain IT hardware/software support for our customers in a retail/office type environment.
Follow company guidelines and procedures for maintaining your assigned inventory. The inventory location could be Company Vehicle, Storage Unit or HUB location. This will include confirming all good in-bound parts for replenishment or service calls. Shipping out defective parts in a timely manner. The return of good parts no longer needed through the excess return process and keep accurate records of inventory movement and location cleanliness with minimal management oversight.
As you will be the front line for our company it is expected of you to have exceptional customer service skills, appropriate casual business attire, and maintain a very high level of customer satisfaction.
Pomeroy technicians utilize a web-based ticketing system to run service calls within their assigned zones. It is the responsibility of the technicians to make sure these tickets are maintained and updated daily, this includes properly updating your tickets to reflect the status for that call as well as writing correct, proper and thorough call notes, correct equipment type, serial numbers, return tracking information, parts ordering and parts usage, and call resolutions.

Pomeroy technicians utilize a web-based ticketing system to run service calls within their assigned zones. Execute periodic inspections of plant equipment to determine proper and normal operating conditions. Check and record operational data such as fluid levels, temperatures and pressures, compare to trends and have the ability to make corrections as needed.
Complete all inspection, preventative maintenance and corrective activity in Clean Energy's CMMS system, Microsoft Dynamics D365 Field Service. Ensure tasks are completed, notes are comprehensive and accurate, and all labor, parts and consumables are documented in the system.
Review daily operating reports and other records to ensure specified operating characteristics in control of the plant equipment.
Ensure the reception of raw materials to the digester which may include sampling/testing.
Detect and correct faulty and malfunctioning mechanical and electrical components, devices and equipment.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions during emergencies and direct activities to restore normal operation or to shut down malfunctioning unit.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical system wiring from control wiring up to 480 volts.
Remove, install and modify equipment.
Notify the Gas Plant Manager of a shutdown or major changes in output of unit.
Maintain all plant equipment and structures in accordance with manufactures and Company guidelines.
Cooperate in routine and special tests and plant inspections to improve operations and maintain safe working conditions.
Maintain a clean workspace including the plant building, control room, rest room, break room and grounds.
Responsible for the use of heavy equipment including fork truck, manlift, loader and/or vac equipment.
Comply with all company safety policies and programs. Ensure all incidents are reported immediately to the EHS department.
Participate in on-call duty and remote plant monitoring according to the scheduled rotation.

Repair, replace, and adjust malfunctioning equipment to restore proper operating condition specified in regulations and repair manuals with assistance of direct supervisor.
