Apprentice Level (Level I) - best for candidates who have a passion for learning and a willingness to train. Experience working in any related field is a plus, but most importantly an understanding of mechanics and the ability to fix a variety of products is needed.
Service Professional Level (Level II) - this is the sweet spot for anyone who has at least a year of experience in a related field and knowledge of the basic concepts of electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting. Service professionals are well attuned to customers and can communicate effectively while in the field.
Senior Level (Level III) - possesses experience in basic repairs in the AED, Highspeed, or gate fields with a proficient understanding of hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting. Candidates will typically have 4 years of experience in this field.
Expert Level (Level IV) - are the masters of their craft, skilled in electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting with a mechanical mindset, leadership skills and extensive knowledge in dock leveler and door repairs. Candidates will possess at least 8 years of experience.

What You'll Do
Service Professionals are responsible for hands-on customer care. They troubleshoot, service, inspect, install, and repair industrial equipment of all shapes and sizes. There is paperwork involved (what job doesn't have it), as a Service Professional there is expectation that work orders be maintained on paper and digitally. The role operates a vehicle regularly to visit different customer sites and plays a major part in maintaining safety and OSHA compliance for the Company.

Splices and tests copper and fiber optic cable.
Assists where necessary with contractors working near buried facilities.
Proficient in using fusion splicers and test equipment for troubleshooting purposes.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as maps, staking sheets, and operating and maintenance instruction manuals.
Ability to pay close attention to detail, and to work independently and make sound technical decisions using information at hand.

Key Responsibilities

Utilize radio in a professional manner to seek assistance if needed
Assist customers with check out and carryout's, as well as loading and unloading of items
Maintain accuracy of shelf tagging, arrange merchandise by shelf label, and set up merchandise displays
Receive merchandise shipments, and check them against receiving reports
Remove merchandise from packaging, match items with stock numbers, and price and tag merchandise
Restock shelves and displays; assemble products as needed
Checking and verifying fluid levels of gas-powered items before product leaves the store
Process Interstore transfers
Cleaning duties which include but aren't limited to: facing merchandise, dusting shelves/displays and merchandise, sweeping and vacuuming, cleaning windows, and emptying trash
Maintain cleanliness and merchandising that meets or exceeds the Theisen's Brand requirements
Other tasks as requested by management may include but are not limited to: checking desk/mail box, preparing and participating in physical inventory, unloading warehouse delivery trucks, delivering merchandise to customers, and running cash registers

Mount, cut-in, and repair cable terminal and load cases. Rearrange service drops, aerial and buried jumper wire and step poles. Read and interpret engineering prints. Testing, locating and repairing defects in fibers for fiber optic cables, using electrical and mechanical testing apparatus.

Responsibilities:
* Receiving work assignments from supervisor, other designated employees, or a laptop computer.
* Reading and interpreting engineering plans, vendor specifications for the installation and repair of optic and electronic equipment, and interacting with the Engineering Group.
* Making necessary preparations required for splicing, rearranging and terminate cable connectors. Performing splicing operations in connection with the installation, rearrangement, and repair of facilities. This includes fiber, wire, terminals, loop carrier electronics and light guide facilities and various fiber optic applications which may be aloft, underground, or buried.
* Locating and clearing troubles in outside plant fiber facilities.
* Determine air flow and pressure in cables - aerial and underground. Preparing cables for pressurization and maintaining cable pressure.
* Using test equipment to check for gas in manholes and may have to empty water from manholes.
* Occasionally work with torches and lead sleeves and iron cases. Placing and removing protective covering over sheath openings.
* Works aloft; climbs ladders and poles; enters tunnels, buildings, trenches, crawl spaces, manholes, and other confined spaces to accomplish job tasks.
* May work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Performing light digging operations as required.
* Operating and maintaining necessary trucks and equipment needed to perform work operations in a safe manner. Includes operating aerial lifts (buckets) and hydraulic lift ladders mounted on trucks.
* Testing, locating and repairing defects in fibers for fiber optic cables and digital carrier systems, using electrical and mechanical testing apparatus.
