Trace lost shipments and handle customer claims of lost shipments. Initiate proof of delivery documents.
Maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records as needed.

About the Role:
As a Warehouse Worker, you'll support daily operations to keep things running smoothly. Your primary tasks will include filling propane tanks and processing battery cores. You may also help with loading and unloading freight, managing inventory, and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Review inbound freight documents and unload container/truck/trailer/rail.
Visually inspect, count and weigh freight as required and report damaged freight, differences in counts and/or weights.
Ensure all freight is staged at its proper place in the warehouse, paperwork, exceptions and special information is properly given to other warehouse and/or office personnel as required to set up for the next handling process.
Load container/truck/trailer/rail to be transported on.

Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to shipping and receiving operations. Essential Functions

Receive and unload incoming materials, comparing packing slip information with purchase orders to verify shipment accuracy. Process return shipments from customers and vendors when necessary.
Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpack, and log inventory for shipment or receipt.
Inspect shipments for damages or defects, record discrepancies or damages, and promptly notify supervisors and/or purchasing personnel.
Deliver items to requisitioning departments and obtain authorized signatures for accepted items.
Trace lost shipments and handle customer claims of lost shipments. Initiate proof of delivery documents.
Maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records as needed.
Operate pallet jacks and/or forklifts to load and unload supplies and equipment. May operate company vehicles for delivery purposes.
Assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area.
Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and control standards.
