Your Role: As a key member of the warehouse team, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating the movement of goods into and out of the facility. This role requires a combination of administrative, organizational, and physical skills. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will work cross functionally with other departments within the organization, as well as with outside vendors, carriers, and customers. What You'll Be Doing: · Prepare, package, and label products for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality. · Receive, inspect, and record all incoming shipments with precision. · Create product packing lists and shipping documents from ERP system. · Choose appropriate packaging for product based on customer requirement. · Check orders for accuracy before packaging and shipment. · Arrange transportation services as requested by customer, or determine most cost-effective method of transportation when customer preference is not provided · Interact cross functionally with other departments within the plant to meet shipments or solve problems. · Create and provide documentation to appropriate departments for Quality purposes · Notify and or deliver incoming products to appropriate departments. · Process and prepare documentation for all returns. · Material Handling - Forklift Operation. (On the job training & certification available). · Additional tasks or projects (not listed above) that are assigned by Supervisor or Manager. What You Need to Succeed: · High School Diploma or Equivalent. · 1-2 years Microsoft Windows Operating System experience (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.) required. · Previous experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory management. · 1-2 years of respective ERP system experience. is Monday - Thursday; 7:30AM - 6:00PM. BASIC FUNCTION: Under moderate supervision, verifies and keeps records on outgoing material. Performs tasks to ship, pick, store, load, and pack materials as needed. MAJOR DUTIES: Picks material for parts orders. Verifies identification of part and quantity required. Packs material for safe shipment to customers. Operates forklifts, hydraulic hand pallet trucks, and electric hoists to load and unload materials as needed. Responsibilities * Optimize all activities related to order fulfillment, from forecast to delivery, including day to day key KPI's for materials management for plant. * Coordinate all activities with the plants necessary for maintaining accurate inventory levels for production scheduling while achieving corporate targets/goals. * Define, develop and deploy weekly KPI metrics. * Establish inventory entitlement models for each plant. * Establishment and validation of annual Inventory budgeting. * Inventory accuracy to plan tracking. * Ensure optimal inventory planning in line with Order fulfillment. * Define Cycle Count requirements leading to integration into SAP. * Align Operations and Materials with the Supply Chain team. * Premium Freight: establish Root Cause, resolution process and authorization. * Continuous Improvement: generate Material Cost Saving opportunities and implement with cross functional teams. * Work with plants to establish load audit tracking for outbound deliveries to ensure full truck utilization. Qualifications * 5+ Years of Material Management experience and success. * High school diploma or equivalent required: BS degree preferred * Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience * Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. * Must possess excellent planning/organization, analytical and problem solving skills. * Ability to work independently; ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. * Working knowledge or ERP Systems (SAP).
