REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Required Bachelor's degree. Required ITP (Interpreting Training Program- must have passed written RID test) RID/NAD NIC Knowledge test must have passed. Two or three years of interpreting experience with individuals who are DeafBlind and/or deaf-visually impaired. Must obtain RID/NAD NIC certification within 5 years of employment. Proficiency in methods of communication utilized by individuals who are DeafBlind.
