CGS Personnel had been founded in 1985 as part of the growing trend for temporaries in all fields.

In 1988, Staff Management | SMX was founded as a comphrensive staffing company.

From its foundation in 1990 as a janitorial services company working within the hospitality sector, HSS recognized the need for a reliable back-of-house workforce.

Remedy Temporary Services, Inc. was founded by Mary Pattee and incorporated on September 30, 1993 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

To finance this growth, SOS became a public firm in 1995.

SOS added 39 offices in 1996, including those from acquisitions, to reach a total of 87 offices.

Although the Information Technology Division was rapidly expanding, at the end of 1997 the firm's Commercial Division remained its largest.

On March 2, 1998 SOS directors elected JoAnn W. Wagner as the new chair of the Board of Directors, to succeed Richard D. Reinhold, the founding chair who resigned to serve his church for two years.

In 2003, SIMOS Solutions was founded.

Under her guidance, Staffing Solutions of Hawaii went paperless in 2010 in support of environmental preservation and later relocated into a larger office space to accommodate expanding business needs.

In 2014, 323 Staffing Solutions, LLC was formed with a base of operations in Owensboro, Kentucky.

In 2017, 323 Staffing Solutions would expand the operations of the company by opening an office in Clermont, Florida.

In 2020, HSS was acquired by KBS, the nation’s largest privately-held facility services company.

The staffing industry is a significant contributor to our economy; according to the latest staffing industry forecast from SIA, the temporary staffing revenue will reach $134.7 billion in 2021.
