Your Opportunity As Bridge Inspection Program Manager, you will leverage your experience to assist in growing our Texas and Oklahoma bridge inspection practice. The candidate will lead bridge inspection teams, perform inspections, write and or assist with writing of inspection reports, assist with rehabilitation and design projects, and assist with load rating projects. The candidate will go to various sites and projects throughout Texas to provide hands-on structural inspections of bridges and other transportation related structures as per the National Bridge Inventory (NBI). Office duties will include design and load rating calculations and developing rehabilitation designs and plans. Your Key Responsibilities * Performs bridge inspection, design, rehabilitation and load rating tasks on assigned bridge projects * Performs calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software * Assist other offices with bridge inspection, rehabilitation, and load rating tasks * Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned " Your Capabilities and Credentials * Completed 2-week NHI Course No. 130055, or the 5-day NHI Course No. 130056 * Thorough understanding of codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions * Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Microsoft Office and AssetWise (or equivalent) * Knowledge of relevant design software (BrR, MDX, LEAP, etc.) * Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting, engage in creative and critical thought, and effectively communicate ideas, design issues and solutions to others * Ability to create and interpret sketches, drawings, and various structures * Ability to travel in/out of office periodically (15-25%) * Ability to climb ladders and work at heights Education and Experience * TxDOT pre-certified in 6.1.2 Routine Bridge Inspection Project Manager. * TxDOT pre-certified in 6.2.2 Complex Bridge Inspection Project Manager. * For details on the requirements of these categories see ************************************************************ * Minimum of two years bridge inspection experience. * Professional Engineer license(s). * Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering. * Successful completion of NHI Course No. 130078 a plus. * Experience with rope access/climbing inspection methods a plus. Your Capabilities and Credentials - Demonstrated experience managing pipeline projects. Your Key Responsibilities - Manage noise/acoustics projects and tasks from proposal to completion, delivering projects on schedule, and within scope and budget. - Conduct, and/or oversee staff completing, field measurements, technical analyses, modeling, and reporting. - Analyze and interpret acoustical modeling results, evaluate noise mitigation measures, and document the results of acoustical analyses through development of technical reports. - Present at public meetings and appear as expert witness for acoustics projects. - Contribute to training of junior staff in field work, analysis, modeling, and report preparation. - Support the expansion of NVA team acoustics service offerings. - Support client relationship, business development and marketing activities. - Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends, software, and technology. Your Capabilities and Credentials - Experience in environmental acoustics/noise assessments is required. - Experience with natural gas pipeline and compressor station noise studies (e.g., FERC requirements) is preferred. - Experience with acoustic measurement practices, software, and instrumentation is required. - Experience with acoustical modeling software (e.g., CadnaA, or similar) and technical tools to support acoustics/noise analyses (spreadsheets, GIS, AutoCAD) is required. - Experience in managing multiple projects and tasks concurrently. - Experience reviewing local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements is required. - Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required. - Willingness and ability to travel periodically for field work, including multi-day trips to various locations within the United States, is required. - Strong work ethic, high ethical and quality standards, and a desire for team success. - Strong written and verbal communications skills. - Experience with vibration, underwater noise (hydroacoustics), transportation noise (e.g., TNM modeling), and building acoustics is beneficial. - Familiarity with scientific programming languages for data processing and analysis (e.g., Matlab, Python) is beneficial. Education and Experience - Minimum bachelor's degree in acoustics, engineering, physical sciences, or a related field. Master's degree is beneficial. Coursework in acoustics is preferred. - Professional Engineer license or Board Certification by the Institute of Noise Control Engineering is beneficial. - Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience with technical specialization in acoustics and noise assessments is preferred.
