What can you expect?
As the Field Civil Superintendent, you will work onsite in Nome & Barrow, AK supporting an Erosion Control Project and will be responsible for the direct on-site supervision and execution of one or more civil construction projects. You will oversee all phases of the civil construction Erosion Control Project and ensure successful completion within the given budget and time frame. Specific responsibilities include managing field crew, coordinating/updating schedules, inspections, quality control, job site safety, interaction with the owner's representative and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with the plans, specifications, and permits, monitoring budget, tracking quantities, and generating required reporting.
How will you do it?
Work with the Estimator, Project Manager, and Project Engineers to plan the activities required for the project's construction.
Responsible for on-site safety of the crew, conformance with safety policies, site-specific safety plan, and OSHA regulations.
Manage on-site crew, including craft employees, engineers, support staff, and subcontractors.
Review sub's daily reports and ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and subcontract conditions.

Main Responsibilities
* Ensure specifications within the project proposal and plans are followed.
* Meet with the client representative (customer) to confirm quantities daily.
* Review job schedules and cost breakdowns, resolving any potential issues with the PM prior to work progression.
* Keep progress schedule current, review schedule status and job costs at a minimum of once a week.
* With the assistance of the PM ensure that all change orders and force accounts are properly completed and documented.
* Attend pre-construction and construction meetings, any issues or concerns relating to the project will be documented and shared with the PM.
* Coordinates with the Safety team and HR to ensure all company and government safety regulations are being met.
* Coordinates with Project Engineers and Crew Leads to ensure the progression of projects in a timely manner while being heavily involved with day-to-day allocation of resources.
* Delegate tasks to be completed by Crew Leads and regulates the completion of successful day-to-day operations.
* Communicates with subcontractors and other employees to ensure the procurement of supplies and materials as needed.
* Operating engineers may be expected to perform equipment and materials inspections.
* Must be able to understand specifications and instructions, both verbal and written.
* Working with heavy-duty machinery requires knowledge of and strict adherence to safety regulations.
* Wear all proper personal protective equipment.
* Travel and work at remote sites within Southeast Alaska communities may be required.

Lead Superintendent About the Opportunity:
iParametrics is seeking a Lead Superintendent to join our team for a critical infrastructure project based in King Salmon, Alaska. This position plays a key leadership role on-site, responsible for the full coordination, execution, and quality of assigned scopes of work. You'll be accountable for safety, scheduling, budget management, quality control, and client satisfaction.
This is an opportunity to work hands-on in a remote project environment and lead complex construction operations for a nationally recognized client.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct the day-to-day activities of trade contractors and subcontractors.
Coordinate construction logistics and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
Maintain proactive communication of schedule status, changes, and critical updates.
Lead contractor meetings and jobsite coordination sessions.
Enforce strict compliance with site safety standards and quality control policies.
Manage daily reporting through Procore and maintain accurate site documentation.
Interpret construction drawings, critical path schedules, and contract documents to anticipate issues and drive solutions.
Oversee project quality plans, safety programs, and jurisdictional relations.
Required Qualifications:
š¹ Minimum of 10 years' experience in the construction industry.
š¹ At least 5 years' experience as a Superintendent leading field operations.
š¹ Experience managing two or more projects valued at $30 million or greater.
š¹ Experience in remote logistics and critical infrastructure projects.
š¹ Airfield paving experience highly preferred.
š¹ Thorough understanding of EM 385-1-1 Safety and Health requirements.
š¹ Demonstrated ability to read and interpret critical path method (CPM) schedules and construction drawings.
š¹ OSHA 30-Hour Certification (MUST HAVE).
š¹ Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Procore, Primavera P6, and CMiC preferred.
Additional Preferred Experience:
ā Prior work experience with ADEC (Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation) and ENV (Environmental) projects.
ā Hazard identification and comprehensive safety compliance background.
