Key Responsibilities:
Construction Planning & Execution
Coordinate, schedule, and supervise all on-site construction activities.
Review and understand all construction drawings, specifications, and subcontractor scopes of work.
Develop and manage short-term and long-term schedules in collaboration with the project management team.
Plan work sequences for subcontractors and field teams to ensure efficient and safe progress.
Quality Assurance & Control
Monitor the quality of workmanship and adherence to specifications, building codes, and high-end finish standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and issue corrective actions where deficiencies are found.
Maintain site documentation, including daily reports, inspection logs, RFIs, and progress photos.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead site coordination meetings and act as the primary on-site point of contact.
Supervise, coach, and mentor assistant superintendents, field engineers, and labor staff.
Maintain positive relationships with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and client representatives.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to all company safety policies and OSHA standards.
Conduct and document toolbox talks, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and regular site safety audits.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free site at all times.
Client & Stakeholder Interaction
Represent the company professionally in all interactions with owners, designers, and consultants.
Provide timely updates to clients on progress, schedule changes, and issue resolution.
Participate in walkthroughs and project closeout procedures.
Qualifications & Competencies
Experience & Knowledge
Minimum 7+ years of superintendent experience on luxury or high-end residential projects.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and at the highest quality level.
Deep familiarity with custom residential construction methods, finishes, and sequencing.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Technical Proficiency
Strong understanding of local building codes, DOB/permit processes, and inspection protocols.
Experience with construction management software (Procore, MS Project).
OSHA 30 Certification required; additional safety training preferred.
Leadership & Communication Skills
Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.

The General Superintendent works closely with project executives, project managers, and field leadership to maintain safety, quality, schedule adherence, and workforce efficiency. A key part of this role is mentoring superintendents, coordinating resources across projects, and maintaining strong relationships with trade partners and clients.
Responsibilities
* Provides leadership and direction to field operations across assigned projects, ensuring consistent execution of safety, quality, and schedule expectations.
* Partners with Project Managers and Executives to evaluate preconstruction planning, site logistics strategies, manpower forecasting, and project phasing.
* Oversees and mentors a team of superintendents and field staff, promoting professional development and consistency in execution.
* Serves as the primary field liaison for executive leadership-providing regular updates on field performance, project risk, and mitigation strategies.
* Leads resource planning and labor coordination across multiple jobs, working closely with craft resource managers to ensure appropriate crew mix and productivity.
* Ensures adherence to company safety and quality standards and leads by example in reinforcing a culture of accountability and excellence on-site.
* Anticipates and proactively resolves field challenges, driving collaboration among internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
* Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, owners, and trade partners, ensuring field alignment with client expectations.
* Standardizes best practices in field operations and helps implement company initiatives related to field technology, lean practices, and workforce engagement.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 10+ years of progressive field leadership experience in commercial construction, including experience managing multiple superintendents and/or large-scale projects.
* Extensive knowledge of construction methods, building systems, safety protocols, and sequencing in a general contracting environment.
* Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills with a proven ability to manage teams and influence outcomes.
* Skilled at high-level schedule planning and analysis, subcontractor coordination, and manpower logistics.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes with accuracy.
* Proficiency with project management and scheduling software; CMiC experience preferred.
* Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus; valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods and technologies.
