The Operations Lead leverages daily interactions and team huddles to communicate and teach/train topics that support the customer experience. The operations Lead participates in all freight processes for incoming freight and/or transitions The OL processes freight, and stocks, including down stocking and end cap maintenance, while maintaining a neat, clean, organized store.     Responsible for daily operations and quality and quantity of work performed throughout the Histology Lab. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Performs other related duties as assigned. Due to the nature of Laboratory Services, it may become necessary to require employees to work extended hours or other variations of the usual shift to ensure adequate care of patients and maintain service to the community. Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical or biological science from an approved college or university and be a graduate of an accredited school of medical technology or equivalent. PREFERRED EDUCATION: Graduate from a school of Histotechnology accredited by CAHEA/NAACLS or equivalent. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 4 years experience in a histology laboratory or a clinical laboratory performing high complexity testing. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience in a managerial role with fiscal, regulatory and quality improvement responsibilities and 3 years managerial experience. Removal of building materials such as fiberglass insulation, foam insulation, wood flooring, tile, concrete, wood frames, electrical wiring (out of service), light fixtures, etc. while on board a vessel or from sections of the vessel on the ground. Removal of furniture such as foot lockers, bed frames, cabinets, etc. Removal of counterweight from ballast tanks such as; 50lbs lead bars, pig iron, sand, mud, etc. Removing and sorting scrap metal, sheet metal, copper or brass piping, or any other material while on the vessel or on the ground. Any other tasks determined to be necessary by the company supervisors in order to assist in the production process. Qualifications Must pass a medical physical and drug test Must pass a background check and credit check Preferred - high school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptable Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus Ability to: communicate with others effectively; understand direction (written or oral) and use basic math skills as the job demands An understanding of the metal market well enough to negotiate pricing, delivery process, and production demands Possess interpersonal skills to gain support of workforce and clientele when conducting business Job Expectations Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, & SA Recycling safety, health, & environmental rules, regulations, policies, & procedures.
