The estimated base salary range for this job is $132,000 - $165,000. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $151,800 - $206,250. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron's benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.

The Position: The Supply Chain Manager's function is to protect manufacturing capacity, ensure production schedule integrity by ensuring planning and delivery of material and components to the right place at the right time. The role is responsible for implementing Lean Manufacturing strategies in the planning, inbound logistics, storage and to ensure completion and delivery on time with a quality level that meets or beats the customer's expectation. Also responsible for reducing and managing inventory levels and improving operational efficiency. This includes the definition of material needs and budget recommendations to support plant operations.
Responsibilities WHAT YOU'LL DO
Achieve operational efficiency through the management of all planning, inbound logistics receiving warehousing, and material movement.
Develop and maintain processes that expose defects or process gaps within or that affect Supply Chain activities. Drive improvement activities to eliminate all areas of waste based upon data and information collected. Work with functional areas to explain the impact their process deficiencies have upon the Supply Chain and monitor the functional areas' progress in resolving the deficiency.
Design and manage the plant processes required to effectively and efficiently flow material from receipt to the point of use. This requires a Plan for Every Part (PFEP) which includes but is not limited to receiving and incoming inspection practices, line support and replenishment of components, warehousing and picking of material, optimization of inventory, kitting, movement of material to outside processing suppliers, etc. warehousing and planning/control of inventory, controlling inventory costs and ensuring proper line storage locations and replenishment techniques.
Design and manage the plant cycle count process to ensure that the integrity of the inventory system is maintained and provides inventory accuracy in excess of 95%.
Execute and maintain established corporate processes that ensure the timely procurement of MRO items required for production needs in collaboration with the corporate buying team.
Work closely with Corporate Category Managers to ensure adequate source of supply. Work closely with Category Managers and Corporate Director of Quality in the active monitoring of supplier performance.
Provide proper training for employees so as to follow OSHA rules and GD Safety policies for working at GD, especially in the use of material handling equipment and the handling of hazardous materials.
Maintain excellent housekeeping and organization in all areas that are “owned” by the Supply Chain
group both inside and outside the plant.
Ensure that a process is in place to monitor the effective and efficient use of material handling equipment. Work with the plant ME Manager to ensure that proper material handling equipment is planned for, and capital spending is appropriated. Work with plant Facility Manager to ensure that a proper preventative maintenance program is in place and followed for all material handling equipment. Oversee equipment availability and maintenance.
Develop and maintain an effective process for the scheduling of the plant's fabrication and subassembly departments. Work with the Operations Manager in monitoring on-time performance of fab operations, including the proper reporting of work order completions and investigation of any work order variances. Provide rough-cut capacity planning to minimize and eliminate any capacity constraints. Fab Planning - ensure work orders are generated and issued to fab shop in a timely manner to meet production schedule. Monitor fab shop performance and any work order variances.)
Implement and support LEAN management philosophies as they relate to Supply Chain Management.
Utilize ERP Systems to drive improvement throughout the plant.
Coordinate annual Physical Inventory.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Achieve operational efficiency through the management of all planning, inbound logistics receiving warehousing, and material movement.
* Develop and maintain processes that expose defects or process gaps within or that affect Supply Chain activities. Drive improvement activities to eliminate all areas of waste based upon data and information collected. Work with functional areas to explain the impact their process deficiencies have upon the Supply Chain and monitor the functional areas' progress in resolving the deficiency.
* Design and manage the plant processes required to effectively and efficiently flow material from receipt to the point of use. This requires a Plan for Every Part (PFEP) which includes but is not limited to receiving and incoming inspection practices, line support and replenishment of components, warehousing and picking of material, optimization of inventory, kitting, movement of material to outside processing suppliers, etc. warehousing and planning/control of inventory, controlling inventory costs and ensuring proper line storage locations and replenishment techniques.
* Design and manage the plant cycle count process to ensure that the integrity of the inventory system is maintained and provides inventory accuracy in excess of 95%.
* Execute and maintain established corporate processes that ensure the timely procurement of MRO items required for production needs in collaboration with the corporate buying team.
* Work closely with Corporate Category Managers to ensure adequate source of supply. Work closely with Category Managers and Corporate Director of Quality in the active monitoring of supplier performance.
* Provide proper training for employees so as to follow OSHA rules and GD Safety policies for working at GD, especially in the use of material handling equipment and the handling of hazardous materials.
* Maintain excellent housekeeping and organization in all areas that are "owned" by the Supply Chain
* group both inside and outside the plant.
* Ensure that a process is in place to monitor the effective and efficient use of material handling equipment. Work with the plant ME Manager to ensure that proper material handling equipment is planned for, and capital spending is appropriated. Work with plant Facility Manager to ensure that a proper preventative maintenance program is in place and followed for all material handling equipment. Oversee equipment availability and maintenance.
* Develop and maintain an effective process for the scheduling of the plant's fabrication and subassembly departments. Work with the Operations Manager in monitoring on-time performance of fab operations, including the proper reporting of work order completions and investigation of any work order variances. Provide rough-cut capacity planning to minimize and eliminate any capacity constraints. Fab Planning - ensure work orders are generated and issued to fab shop in a timely manner to meet production schedule. Monitor fab shop performance and any work order variances.)
* Implement and support LEAN management philosophies as they relate to Supply Chain Management.
* Utilize ERP Systems to drive improvement throughout the plant.
* Coordinate annual Physical Inventory.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)

+ Minimum 8 years of experience leading SAP transformation programs supporting Utilities clients ( (SAP support / managed services experience will not be considered for this requirement)
+ Minimum 4 end-to-end SAP S/4 implementations, including project planning, estimation and solution architecture for SAP Supply Chain and Utilities Clients
+ Experience managing large SAP delivery teams (50-100 people), including in a Global Delivery model
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate's Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience
