About the Role We are seeking a motivated Development Analyst to join our in-office Denver-based team. This role offers the opportunity to support our multifamily development pipeline and help execute tailored business plans for individual projects. Key responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating potential sites, underwriting new opportunities, supporting due diligence and debt financing efforts, and conducting financial analysis throughout all phases of the development process. We are looking for highly analytical, detail-oriented professionals who can process market data, create financial models, and provide strategic investment recommendations. The ideal candidate will be detail-focused, able to manage multiple priorities with high flexibility, think big-picture, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position requires travel throughout the United States (up to 25%). Key Responsibilities Identify, analyze, and underwrite multifamily real estate development opportunities. Build and maintain detailed financial models in Excel, incorporating cost assumptions, budgets, rental comps, expense analysis, and market research. Manage due diligence checklists, assist in transaction closings (land acquisitions, loans, etc.), and oversee project documentation. Track and interpret key project data, including schedules, budgets, cash flows, and contracts. Prepare internal investment memorandums and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders. Support the development team with entitlements, permitting, and design, including the development of site plans, floor plans, unit specifications, and amenities. Assist in unit turnovers and final punch walks. Contribute to special projects and assignments as needed. Who You Are Education & Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution, with 1-3 years of direct real estate or financial analysis experience. Financial & Analytical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including strong financial modeling and data analysis capabilities, is required. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint (creating professional presentations), Word (document preparation), Teams, and Outlook (email and calendar management). Market Knowledge: Understanding of multifamily capital markets, market research methodologies for revenue and expenses, and market supply and demand drivers. Experience with major MSAs in Colorado, Texas, California, New Mexico, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Florida is a plus.
