Job Responsibilities
Summary of Position:
Maintenance Technicians will repair/maintain all production/facility equipment and perform project work. This position requires a high regard for safety at all times in performing any tasks associated with working for Harris Products Group.
This person will work safely and supports safety within their team across the organization. Completes weekly maintenance schedule and makes safe, quality & timely repairs to ensure weekly production schedule is completed. Supports lean initiatives to facilitate team goals/metrics. Participates in team meetings and works on cost savings projects.

Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
Required -
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Good trouble shooting skills in mechanical and pneumatic systems for production machinery and support equipment.
Able to read and understand mechanical and pneumatic prints
Must be computer literate
Operate material handling equipment, scissor lift and manipulating man lift
Preferred-
Experienced in welding, fabricating and pipe fitting.
Experience with Lean tools
Able to read and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints
Understand ladder logic for relays and PLCs

Essential Operational Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain complete operational coverage of the Veolia operated facilities in your designated region as vacations and unplanned absences arise. Coverage will be required on both day shifts and night shifts as absences arise, requiring significant schedule flexibility.
Assist in the operational development of all local technicians within your designated region. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is labor intensive. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a daily basis. Must be able to lift up to 100lbs on a rare basis. This position requires 90% of frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, overhead reaching, bending, squatting and prolonged standing and sitting. It requires occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling. The position also involves great hand and eye coordination. Heights exceeding over 50 feet from time to time are normal to incur on a daily basis to maintain a crane. Employee will be required to travel from time to time (20 50%) and must be willing to work various shifts to accommodate needs of HCSG branches and customers. This includes on-call and overtime. Travel out of town may be required at the discretion of the company.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is normally performed inside or outside (pending customer requirements) with varying degrees of extreme hot and cold temperatures depending on the weather. During summer months, temperatures can exceed 120 degrees. This position will be frequently exposed to noise, heights, fumes, dust, and odors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
0 - 2 years of crane experience in an industrial facility
Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
Must always commit to working and driving safely
Must be willing to work off the ground at various heights
Must have basic computer skills
Must be able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Vocational/Technical training certificate
Some electrical and mechanical knowledge
Knowledge of hand tools and/or possess hand tools

Basic Job Functions:
Responsible for assigned aspects of the maintenance and operation of utility scale PV power plant. Duties include monitoring PV Plant operation through SCADA, commissioning, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying AC and DC solar PV systems, including inverters, PV module arrays, transformers, switchgear, and metering systems.
Experience:
* 2+ years of experience in a related position or Journey level certification.
* Experience in operating and maintaining power plant electrical systems, SCADA and controls systems operation, troubleshooting advanced electrical components, and using procedures to perform equipment preventative and corrective maintenance preferred.
Education:
* High School Diploma or equivalent required.
* College or technical degree preferred.
* Electrical certifications, state, journeyman, etc. a plus.
* Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus.
Physical Requirements:
* Bending, kneeling, twisting, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, the ability to climb ladders, and wear PPE for extended periods of time. Ability to work in high and low temperatures, sun exposure, and navigate on uneven ground on foot.
* Ability to differentiate between different colors to manage color-coded wiring.
* Good hand-eye coordination.
Required Skills/Competencies:
* Demonstrated knowledge in electrical safety and arc flash standards.
* Demonstrated understanding of and ability to follow operating, switching, maintenance, safety and environmental procedures.
* Must have a strong safety background with experience in Lockout Tag Out and Job Hazard Analysis.
* Working knowledge of industrial or power facility operation and maintenance.

Essential Responsibilities:
* Perform to quarterly key performance indicators, such as actual versus expected energy generation, on-time planned maintenance, and support overall plant and equipment efficiency.

* Comply with Job Hazard Analysis, Pre-Job Brief and Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures.

* Assist in planning and executing on-site projects, installations, commissioning, quality inspections, and performance testing.
* Assist with writing and enforcing work and equipment testing instructions and procedures, including normal and maintenance operating procedures.
* Ensure work orders are complete in their entirety.
* Ensure all documentation and required reports are reviewed, complete, submitted and filed.
* Attend, participate in and pass all assigned training in safety, environmental and other areas as assigned.
* Maintain work area and site housecleaning to 5S standards.
* Verify SCADA site configuration.
* Adhere to Company vehicle maintenance standards and safety standards.
