Responsibilities : Troubleshoot Equipment Faults: Should demonstrate proper operation of audio, lighting, automation, video and projection systems and be able to detect when systems are not operating properly. Must be able to read blueprints, drawings, schematics and diagrams. Knowledge of system interaction with sound and electrician crafts also required. Often requires work indoors in dimly lit and dark conditions. Remove and Install Equipment: Removal and installation of Audio/Video/Projection/Lighting equipment, assemblies and components utilizing hand tools, power tools and technical documents. Requires the use of both hands above and below the waist, climbing, working in confined areas, lifting, bending, stooping, sitting, laying, crawling and exposure to high noise, heat, cold, dust and dirt. Material handling, including lifting, holding, carrying and manipulation of objects up to 50 pounds alone or in teams. Requires bending/twisting at the waist, working with arms raised overhead and lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 20 lbs. (constantly) and up to 50 lbs. (frequently). Preventive Maintenance Inspections: Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as outlined in written job plans to ensure venues open safely and on-time. Must be able to read, understand and follow checklists to properly verify and inspect equipment. Requires the use of hands, color and visual acuity as well as the use of flashlight and assorted tools. Exposure to heat, cold, sunlight and dampness. Operational and Functional Checks: Start and operate audio, lighting, electrical, video and projection systems to verify proper operation. Must be able to safely operate equipment and know what actions to take in the event of equipment failure or emergency. Must be able to operate shows both solo as well as part of a team. Basic Qualifications : Experience troubleshooting audio, lighting, automation, video and projection systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics Experience supporting live entertainment events Knowledge and familiarity with using computers Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a broad background range of crafts or disciplines related to stage craft including audio, lighting, electrics, rigging and video Preferred Qualifications: Prior large hotel experience preferred Working knowledge of proper Guest service Knowledge of Hawaiian/Japanese language Additional Information : SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY Full Time - Full availability is required seven (7) days per week, including overnight, early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Geotechnical Instrumentation Responsibilities: Performs Installations, Transportation and Demobilizations of geotechnical equipment. Supervise subcontractors such as saw cutting, drilling and traffic control. In some projects, the area is surrounded by construction heavy equipment, excavations, tunnels, and or active construction sites that require safety training that ALL construction workers for the General Contractor are required to take. Employee is required to transport materials in a construction site as well as install instruments on poles, rooftops, bridges, and tunnels. Specialized tools are required to perform the role in the field and the ability to mount equipment using ladders and equipment (manlifts) is required. The use of these tools requires safety training to avoid injury and or death. Qualifications: Currently enrolled and or completed in a relevant degree program (geotechnical engineering, environmental science, civil engineering, etc.) - (Preferred but not required) Strong interest in geotechnical instrumentation, noise, and vibration monitoring. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in an outdoor field environment. Basic understanding of relevant instrumentation tools and software is a plus. OSHA 10-hrs. Includes cleaning up job sites and keeping shop area clean and organized. * Provides general labor assistance to workers. This work may include but is not limited to digging, sweeping, cutting materials, measuring, or other trade related work. Works with basic hand tools and power tools as instructed by supervisor. * Works with hand tools and small equipment such as power washers, airless sprayers, compressors, line trimmers, blowers, mowers, etc. as directed by supervisor. * Accurately accounts for time using the facilities work order system. * Assists with set up and break down of special events as directed by supervisor. * Cleans, adjusts, maintains, and returns to storage all tools and equipment used in the performance of assigned duties. Becomes thoroughly familiar with the safety procedures to be followed in the use of all manual or power equipment and employs those procedures during use of equipment. Uses PPE properly as instructed. * Performs other job-related functions as directed by supervisor. Requirements * Should be a high school graduate or equivalent. * Must be able to read, write and express information verbally in English, as well as understand written and oral instructions in English. * Must be in good health, able to perform a full range of body movements and be able to lift and move 40-50lbs on a regular basis. * Should have a working knowledge of hand tools used in general construction trades. * Must have good dexterity and be able to work on scaffolds and ladders, and not be afraid of heights. * No prior work experience necessary.
