Responsible for the dispensing of raw materials liquids and powders (hazardous and non-hazardous), acids/bases, under cGMP conditions to support the manufacture of therapeutic proteins (API) Individual will be required to perform and monitor all dispensing processes and weighs, including liquid, powder (hazardous and non-hazardous), acids and bases. Probationary Communications Technician JobID: 982 Administrative/Clerical Support/Probationary Communications Tech Additional Information: Show/Hide Probationary Communications Technician 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) - 4 days on, 2 days off 3rd shift (10pm-6am) - 4 days on, 2 days off DEPARTMENT: Nashua Police Department AFFILIATION: Police Communications SALARY: Starting hourly rate not to exceed $20.2682/ $42,157.68 annually PRIMARY DUTIES Position answers business calls, calls for service, TDD hearing impaired phone, E911 emergency referral calls, alarm, fire and ambulance lines, to provide services, information and referrals and judges characteristics of a call to determine whether an emergency or non-emergency response is necessary. Responsible for obtaining information and accurately recording it via data entry in the computer-aided dispatch system, monitoring prisoners and areas for building security via closed circuit television system, additional data entry duties which may include restraining orders, subpoenas, warrants, M/V warnings, traffic citations. Prepares daily hot sheet and uniform rosters, prepares court notification slips and performs other essential functions as assigned. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 6 months relevant work experience and high school diploma or certified equivalent is required. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Must possess good listening and excellent oral communications skills, data entry skills, and have the ability to react appropriately per department policies and regulations in emergency situations. This position will require independent operation as well as collaboration with customers on-site, focusing on ISP, OSP, and aerial fiber builds. Although the position is based out of our Nashua, NH office, you will primarily be traveling throughout the New England area during the workweek. As we continue to grow, we are seeking technicians who are technically proficient, customer-focused, and eager to contribute to our well-respected team. What Will You Do A solid understanding of multiple OSP/ISP splice enclosure by various manufacturers. Have undergone additional training or immersion into one or more specific customers' needs and demonstrate responsibility for those needs Be able to demonstrate advanced cable prep/single and mass fusion splicing and termination abilities. Excellent fiber optic test and troubleshooting abilities to include fiber characterization, iOLM and advanced documentation and deliverable responsibilities. Demonstrate a strong ability to work with others and train more junior technicians and basic crew/project management abilities and responsibilities Have a basic understanding of and abilities to negotiate ARC/GIS, Telvent and Trimble software Ability to understand that to the nature of the job, travel, night, weekend, and holiday work, to include on-call responsibilities will be a requirement. What You Will Need 5+ years experience working as a fiber optic splice technician Applicant must have completed entry level safety training and demonstrate safe practices. Show up for work daily and on time Must possess the ability to perceive difference in colors. Must possess and continue to possess a valid driver's license in good standing Experienced with basic computer functions, especially Excel and the Internet and have the ability to learn new programs Ability to make independent judgment and perform repetitive tasks Regular contact with co-workers and customers Within 90 days of start date, take and pass OSHA-10 Certification Must be able to take and pass, and continue to pass a DOT Physical, drug screen and background check Travel expected through the week with going into the office in Nashua NH to pick up stock or whatever would be needed for the week Overtime should be expected Applicant must be at least a high school graduate or equivalent. Work Environment Repeated and frequent ability to lift, from floor to above head 25 lbs continuously. Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet in an aerial and underground capacity. Environmental Conditions exposure is heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration and very loud noise. Requires the ability to sit for extended periods, stand, bend, walk, communicate via telephone, computer and/or face-to-face contact, vision to monitor, and use basic office equipment such as a personal computer, copier and fax machines regularly during the course of work.
