The Highlights Public Safety Officers detect and prevent crime and enforce all laws and University rules and regulations, preserving the peace, protecting life and property within their span of control. Monitors the safety of students, faculty and staff. This is done at either the Lincoln Park or Loop campus through patrol activity on campus and within university buildings, monitoring visitor access to university buildings, conducting foot patrols, locking down classrooms and responding to service calls and alarms and reports of suspicious activity. (Loop) Responds to inquiries and enforces university policies on property removal. Assists with routing of deliveries at loading dock. 6) Test and Monitor Equipment and Emergency Radio transmissions.
