Co-founder and CEO of Universal Robotics Inc. David launched operations at Universal Robotics in April of 2008, having raised private equity to capitalize operations. He is the Chairman of the Board. Before founding Universal, he was an entrepreneur in the motion picture industry, working as a producer for 17 years. He is a seasoned executive and fund raiser. David is a member of the Director’s Guild of America and the Robotics and Smart Device Committee of the World Economic Forum Network of Global Agenda Councils. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Cleveland Institute of Art.

Goutham Mallapragada is a Chief Technology Officer at Universal Robotics and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has worked as Graduate Research Assistant at Penn State University, Chief Scientist at Universal Robotics, and Machine Learning Scientist at Universal Robotics. Goutham studied at National Institue of Information Technology between 2000 and 2002, Penn State University between 2003 and 2006, and Osmania University between 1999 and 2003.

Alan is Co-founder and CTO of Universal Robotics Inc. Alan is the principal architect of Neocortex. Alan is also an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at Vanderbilt University where he supervises research on a humanoid robot, ISAC, in the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory. He has over fifty publications and has secured research funding in excess of $4 Million. Well regarded among his peers in robotics, he has been a member of the NASA Robonaut research team which includes scientists from USC, MIT, and UMass. His image processing lectures have been downloaded by over 100,000 engineers worldwide. His academic work has been in four different areas: signal and image processing, mathematical morphology, electromagnetic scattering, and sensory-guided robotics.
