Position Purpose
Responsible for planning and implementing high-quality instructional program that focuses on developing essential life and vocational skills, such as basic kitchen and cooking skills, for individuals with developmental disabilities. This position will be part of the Program Center and AFLS curriculum delivery team, helping to create purposeful activities that enhance skill acquisition and maintenance. The instructor will work in a training center environment, utilizing a training kitchen to teach practical life skills that will empower Villagers to gain independence and enhance their quality of life.
Required Qualifications
College degree or High school diploma/GED with 5 years' experience required with special populations preferred.
Basic culinary knowledge preferred
Experience in teaching skills, including but not limited to kitchen, life, and job-related skills.
A strong understanding of life skills training, with a focus on vocational skills for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age, have a valid Class C Georgia Driver's License, proof of vehicle insurance, and meet company policy regarding MVR requirements.
Must meet state requirements regarding a GBI and FBI criminal history record check which requires fingerprinting.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with the Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS) program to create hands-on learning opportunities that teach life skills, such as basic kitchen tasks, meal preparation, kitchen etiquette, and other vocational skills.
Develop and deliver instructional content in a way that supports the development of life and job skills relevant to the Vocational Program, emphasizing independence and real-life application.
Adapt lessons and activities to meet the varying developmental and physical abilities of all Villagers, ensuring engagement and skill progression.
Collaborate with the vocational team to incorporate real-world job readiness activities into the curriculum.
Create and provide instructional demonstrations in the training kitchen, incorporating a variety of cooking tasks that build practical life skills.
Willingness and comfort with being on camera for instructional cooking demonstrations, helping Villagers practice skills in a media-supported format.
Assist with the planning and facilitation of activities, including both on-campus and off-campus events, that support life and vocational skill development.
Contribute to the development of behavioral support plans and ensure that each Villager's goals are being met through consistent teaching methods and evaluations.
Support the planning and execution of special events, field trips, and community activities that foster life skills and job readiness.
Provide monitoring in the dining hall as needed, assisting with meal preparation and promoting kitchen safety and etiquette.
Complete necessary documentation related to individual Villagers' progress, skill acquisition, and behavior management in the electronic record system.
Participate in weekend or special programming as required by the department.

Position Summary
The Department of Geography at the University of Georgia invites applications for a full-time, academic-year (9-month), Associate/Full Professor position with tenure in Tropical Meteorology, with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2026. This position is part of a university-wide cluster hire in the area of Disasters, Risk, and Communication, supported through the Presidential Strategic Hiring Initiative (PHI). The successful candidate will join a vibrant and interdisciplinary research and instructional community addressing pressing challenges associated with climate extremes, compound disasters, risk communication, and resilience.
We seek a specialist in tropical meteorology, with interest in hazard and risk communication. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an active, externally funded research program and will have opportunities to collaborate with faculty across campus, including those affiliated with the NSF-funded Center for Innovation in Risk, Catastrophes, and Decisions (CIRCAD), the UGA Research Institute (UGARI), and the Institute for Resilient Infrastructure Systems (IRIS), among others. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in the candidate's area of expertise as well as some combination of existing upper-level courses that meet the instructional needs of our growing Atmospheric Sciences program, such as Atmospheric Dynamics, Atmospheric Physics, Atmospheric Thermodynamics, Mesoscale and Radar Meteorology, Satellite Meteorology, Synoptic Meteorology, and Weather Analysis and Forecasting.

Job Summary
The Department of Economics, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) seeks an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management to begin August 1, 2026.
Successful candidates will be expected to teach a 3-3 load of lower- and upper-division courses. In addition to teaching, applicants are expected to actively participate in scholarly activities, demonstrate a commitment to student engagement and mentorship, and participate in service to the college and community.
Applicants should show a strong interest in teaching a variety of courses in the areas of supply chain, operations, and/or logistics. Applicants should demonstrate innovation in teaching and a commitment to student success. GGC emphasizes a student-centered learning environment.
Required Qualifications
