The Department of Sociology, Criminology, & Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater invites applications for a full-time instructor position to teach courses in the areas of criminology and criminal investigation.

Job Details:
The successful candidate will be able to teach Criminal Investigation, Investigation of Death, Criminal Investigation of Child Abuse, and Introduction to Criminology. The possibility also exists of teaching other courses serving criminology and general education, dependent on need and rotation. The contract period is for one academic year with the possibility of reappointment.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include teaching nine courses (27 credits) per academic year. Instructors at UW-W may be required to teach in a variety of formats, including in-person, online and/or in a hybrid format, or courses in the evenings. All students, faculty, and staff are required to ensure their materials are digitally accessible and utilize standard technology platforms supported by UW-Whitewater. Examples include, but are not limited to, Navigate, Canvas, and Microsoft Office applications - including Outlook, which is essential for university email communications and scheduling.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in law enforcement/criminal investigation is desired.
