Duties/Responsibilities: General Required full-time teaching load is 4/4 with a 3-credit release in each semester for administrative oversight of mathematics instructors and the assessment of math courses and curricular offerings. Attend Chapel. Attend College and Arts & Sciences department meetings. Hold weekly office hours for student and faculty consultation and support during fall and spring semesters. Teach courses as assigned at the undergraduate, adult education, and/or graduate level in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats which may require teaching during the day, evening, and/or weekend. Participate on assigned faculty committee(s). Participate in ongoing professional development and LBC | Capital professional development. Curriculum Coordinate the development, assessment, and revisions of Academic Program(s)/discipline and courses. Design and develop new courses to enhance the existing curriculum. Review and revise curricular offerings to meet accreditation and industry expectations and standards. Submit annual assessment and program review to Chair. Submit at least one assessment annotation per semester for a course taught. Personnel Cooperate with the Chair to recruit, schedule, observe, and support adjuncts in discipline. Submit recommendations to hire FT and PT faculty to Chair. Review course syllabi of discipline/program faculty. Observe and evaluate adjunct department faculty in the corresponding discipline(s) and submit observations reports to department . Enrollment and Retention Determine course placement for incoming students, as needed. Approve transfer credits/exceptions to requirements for core/program completion. Administrative Oversight Submit undergraduate final grade-standing reports for remedial math tracks (060) to the Registrar for schedule changes. Coordinate MAT course planning by rostering classes and assigning instructors. Perform other related duties as assigned.
