The successful candidate will have expertise in the development and application of quantum technologies for sensing and networking, including but not limited to quantum communication, quantum-enhanced metrology, and quantum network protocols. We are looking for individuals who can build a collaborative research program, contribute to the university's strategic focus on quantum science, and educate and mentor the next generation of scientists. We also seek individuals that are eager to help SUNY Poly strengthen its presence within the Mohawk Valley's burgeoning quantum technology ecosystem, which includes quantum research teams located at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Information Directorate in Rome, NY. AFRL is also home to a quantum-focused Extreme Computing Facility in partnership with the Innovare Advancement Center at the Griffiss Institute, a nonprofit talent and technology accelerator for the United States Department of Defense, to drive open innovation and collaboration at Innovare Advancement Center. We are eager to hear from candidates with demonstrated commitments to both teaching and research, and a commitment to cultivating diversity in the university and professional work environment. Lecturers are responsible for a 4/4 teaching load of lower and upper division academic writing classes.
