Yes, Apple hires felons. However, this was not always the case. In 2015, Apple changed its policy because of perceived discrimination against felons. Apple's website now states, "We believe in opportunity for everyone, and Apple has never had a blanket ban on hiring people with felony convictions."

Based on this, it does look like Apple is open to hire individuals with prior criminal convictions. As long as it wasn't a violent charge like assault and it wasn't related to theft, cyber-attacks, embezzlement, or anything along those lines, then what you bring to the table can outweigh any other charge.
