Does Cabela's drug test?
Yes, Cabela's does perform drug tests. Cabela's performs a drug test as a condition of employment, due to the fact that many roles at the company require a person to be able to operate dangerous equipment, especially in the distribution center.
Cabela's does not, however, perform regular drug testing on existing employees. If an employee arrives at work visibly intoxicated or otherwise incapacitated due to drug consumption, Cabela's does hold the right to perform a drug test on the employee.
The main concern for Cabela's is that its workforce is not abusing any drug, legal or illegal, that would in some way compromise the safety of the employee, their colleagues, or customers. Cabela's holds its company and employees to a high standard of conduct, and, therefore, has a low tolerance for illegal or reprimandable activity.
