This question is about Corning Incorporated.
Yes, Corning drug tests. In its commitment to providing a safe and productive work environment, Corning requires all new employees to pass a pre-employment drug screening, and tests existing employees returning from absences of greater than 150 days.
The drug test used is a hair test, with a sample taken from either your armpit, legs, or groin area. After your final interview and upon your acceptance of a job offer, you will have up to seven days to submit your hair sample to an approved lab.
Once employed, based on your position, you may be randomly drug tested. For example, warehouse foremen are subject to random drug and alcohol testing. The company may also drug test any employee it suspects is intoxicated at work.
Corning's Code of Conduct makes no mention of the use of tobacco and vaping products. However, the company pledges to help eliminate all lifestyle-induced disease in its employees and their families. In recent years, the company enabled 99% of its employees to work in tobacco-free facilities.
