This question is about Retail Services.
Yes, Retail Services drug tests. Whether or not you are asked to take a pre-employment drug test depends on the position. The majority of the time, retail and warehouse positions do require a drug test prior to onboarding. Retail Services typically uses a urine drug test done at a third-party lab that looks for cannabis, opiates, amphetamines, benzodiazepines, and cocaine.
If you're applying to a retail position such as a sales associate, then cannabis is usually a deal-breaker. That is unless you live in a state that has legalized cannabis or you have a medical cannabis card. In those situations, the hiring manager looks at each candidate on a case-by-case basis and determines whether to move forward with the candidate.
It is unknown whether Retail Services asks their corporate office employees to take a pre-employment drug test. All warehouse positions are subject to both a pre-employment drug test as well as random drug testing. For random drug testing, a mouth swab is used and tests for similar drugs as the pre-employment drug test with the addition of also testing for alcohol.
