To start as an analyst, you will first need to decide what type of analyst you want to become, then earn a bachelor's degree and gain some relevant work experience.
The first step is to do your research and figure out what type of analyst you want to become. There are many different types of analysts out there, including business analysts, functional analysts, data analysts, or even IT analysts. Once you figure out the type of analyst you want to be, then you'll be able to figure out what type of courses and programs best suit that role.
Nowadays, most analyst positions require candidates to have at least a bachelor's degree, typically in statistics, mathematics, business, or information technology. Regardless of the type of analyst you want to become, you're going to want to focus heavily on statistics and data analysis, which is the cornerstone of any good analyst.
In some cases, employers may hire entry-level analyst positions for candidates with just an associate's degree.
