How long does it take to become a Welder Fitter?

2. Hand Tools -- Operated and used equipment and tools which include forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, cutting torches, hand tools.

4. Gmaw -- Performed various task of a journeyman welder to include; welding various parts using Jigs and fixtures using the GMAW process.

5. Aluminum -- Gathered data and information on the weld-ability of aluminum alloys, and tested welding equipment using various methods of aluminum welding technology

Common Certifications For A Welder Fitter

The Certified Welder certification is most common among Welder Fitters. This certification is awarded by the American Welding Society. This certification is great to have as it shows an improvement in your competency to perform your role. You can earn this certification at the beginning of your career, as it often doesn't require a minimum education level and work experience. To become a certified Welder Fitter with Certified Welder, You need to pass the exam. Lucky you - certification doesn't require more than two years of work experience. Renew certification every 5 year.
