How old do you have to be to work at Caterpillar?

Internship positions are paid part-time positions and are open to full time students attending a four year university who have already completed at least 12 semester hours. They must be within driving distance of the facility that they will be working at and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Caterpillar also has a student trainee program for students 16 years of age and older. These positions are for Junior and Senior high school students as well as freshman and sophomore college students.
