Before the interview:

• Review the job posting again and make sure to understand the needs of the role

• Prepare questions for the leadership team

During the interview:

• Keep the interview conversational

• Manage your response time to each question (aim for about five minutes per question)

• Give responses that are related to the required skills and USPS values mentioned in each question

• Ensure your answers focus on applicable skills for the job and your knowledge of relevant processes.

• Discuss important factors, people, and resources worth considering when solving problems.

• Showcase your availability and for bonus points, ask what their needs are with regards to scheduling and be willing to meet them.

After the interview:

If you pass the interview round, you will be asked to submit a federal background check going back five years. This check will verify your employment history, criminal history, and driving history. Usually, any misdemeanors or felonies in the last three years will be a disqualification.
